Paul Loomis, MS, founder of Select Breeders Service and Dr. Ed Squires, Ph.D have partnered tClick for interior imageso launch our newest venture, Select Breeders Southern California, dedicated to bringing state of the art freezing technology, world class service and international distribution services to breeders in Central and Southern California and Arizona. SBSC provides a convenient service to the region with a completely mobile facility, managed by Chris Wilson, MS (Reproductive Physiology, Colorado State University) and outfitted with the latest controlled rate cell-freezing and computerized semen analysis equipment. SBSC has also developed relationships with several EU approved facilities in the area for freezing semen intended for export.

Chris Wilson, MS
Chris Wilson was born and raised in East Aurora, New York. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Science from Colorado State University in 2000. During Chris's undergraduate years he was a very active member of the CSU Polo Club and Collegiate Polo Team. He served as vice president and varsity team member, managing the clubs string of polo ponies. His first involvement with the Equine Reproduction Lab at CSU came as a work study in the oocyte transfer program.

Prior to enrolling in a Masters Degree program in 2003 Chris worked in Aubrey, Texas as the breeding manager for Select Breeders Southwest and Siaset Farm and also as a veterinary technician at Weems and Stephens Equine Hospital. He completed a Master of Science degree in Equine Reproduction and Physiology from Colorado State University in 2005. During this time Chris's emphasis of study was in cryoprservation of equine sperm and was actively involved with the commercial stallion program. Others areas of involvement included both the embryo and oocyte transfer programs at CSU.
