Overview

Werbellin is an imported Class # 1 German Stallion from the Celle State Stud of Hannover. He finished 4th overall out of 41 stallions in the prestigious 11month Adelheidsdorf stallion testing with a score of 122.95, 126.21 riding/dressage, 119.49 jumping.

      Sire is WELTMEYER  1986 approvals Champion, the 1988, 1989 CHI conformation class and 1987 Best 3yo riding Horse. Top  producer of Stallions and SPS mares,  consistent top placings in the FN Breed value index.  Werbellins dam, SPS Lady Laurin is accepted in the jumper breeding prgram (score9/9). From the motherline are stallions Sao Paulo, Askan,DLG champion Weltdame and European Champion Wertvolle and multiple mare championship winner, SPS Wunderfee.  Werbellin is from the Hanoverian Motherline #33.

Performance

After  stallion  testing Werbellin competed in German for the Sate Stud in jumping in 1998 & 1999, winning 19 of 33 classes in placing in the top 4 in the remainder. He is described in the Hanoverian Hengst book " Werbellin (has) to be regarded as a versatility talented riding horse of best quality, who is bred out of well proven performance bloodlines."   Imported to the USA in 2000 and started in the Dressage ring by Christopher Hickey in late 2001, He was the 2003 Cosequin  Northeast Reserve Champion Stallion and High Score hanoverian USAEQ Dressage, NEDA Fall Festival CDI.   

  WERBELLIN  trained by Chris Hickey  through Grand Prix.  2006 and 2007 showed  the CDI  Short-Tour finishing fourth on the final list of qualifiers for  Gladstone Selection trials and winning the USDF Region 8 Championships at Intermediare I with scores up to 75%.  Their success earned them a spot on the USET Developing Horse and Rider list.   Retired from FEI competition, Werbellin continued as a valueable schoolmaster and show partner winning YR scores with Jocelyn Weiss and gaining the Silver Medal for Faye Dunn, Bronze Medal scores for Samantha Radesky.

   At 23 years of age in 2017 Werbellin is sound and healthy and Fertile.  He continues in his schoolmaster & breeding duties at Greengate Farm.

Offspring

In Germany Werbellin has produced riding and driving horses of good success including Ratje Neighbur show qualifiers, who competed and placed, and a filly who won her division at the Wittingen Mare show in 2001. In the US Werona won the NE Futirity , 2nd in fillies 2001,Reserve Chamipon/Devon Qulaifier, and recievd 8.5 at her inspection, she went on to be awarded Premium/Gold mare title as a 4yo for ISR/OldenburgNA & RPSI. Other Premium Mares & candidates: EMWeatherly, Wunderschoen,Werona, Whriannon and Werushka (Han Filly champion).  Son Waterford showed successfully on USDF circuit and was exported to Germany where he was Licensed in Redefin,  Wregina ggf, Reserve Futurity Champion and 3rd USDF Finals overall (2009) Premium Mare for ISR/Olna 2010,  Wright on< Champion of his Hanoverian inspection at Hilltop Farm is now a Para-Dressage horse for Courtney King (2012),  Jumping offspring bringing talent up from the motherline with success in hunters & eventing include: Werona, Weltissimo, Woomera, Wrival, Wynthrop, Weltritt, Wundervoll and others.
