The SBS network is comprised of veterinarians and reproductive physiologists who share a commitment to provide the highest level of customer service, quality control and leading edge technology for their customers. Formally launched in 2000, the Affiliate Laboratory Program brings SBS semen freezing and related reproductive services to breeders throughout the United States, Europe and Australasia.
Each affiliate offers a wide range of stallion services including evaluating, freezing for domestic and international use, as well as the industry's most comprehensive storage and distribution program. In addition to traditional mare reproductive services, embryo transfers and embryo freezing are also available at many locations. Recognizing the need to provide on-farm services, several affiliates have fully equipped mobile laboratories.

Paul R. Loomis, M.S. founded Select Breeders Service in 1987 with the belief that equine breeders needed a reliable source for the burgeoning artificial insemination technology. Beginning with a single laboratory and the willingness to travel throughout the United States to work with forward thinking breeders of Warmblood Sporthorses, and Standardbred racehorses, SBS quickly developed a reputation for quality service and superior technology. Paul's vision of a network of regional semen freezing laboratories is being realized as the SBS Network grows throughout the world. |
