Paul Schockemohle (Totilas owner) purchased De Luxe (Dow Jones) as a two-year-old stallion and prepared him for the P.S.I. auction.

With the legendary sire line of Donnerhall and De Luxe's ability to perform the Grand Prix movements effortlessly, it was no surprise that he became the top selling horse. De Luxe's sire, De Niro a Donnerhall/Akzent II son, scored 145.41 and was was declared “Best New Generation Grand Prix Dressage Horse". Grand-sire Donnerhall holds the highest dressage breeding value index (271) and was a stellar dressage horse. Akzent II was regarded for producing rideability. De Luxe's dam's sire, Andiamo is not only a Grand Prix Jumper, but also competed at I-1 Dressage as well. He is ranked 8th in Dressage producing and 10th in Combined Jumping and Dressage. Licensed by five Verbands his offspring were best sellers at elite auctions. De Luxe endows foals with light, free action, superb conformation and unparalleled disposition making them extremely easy to train. “De Luxe is the most beautiful De Niro son" according to Johannes Westendarp.
