Performance

Only Foolin Around, The Colonel as he is affectionately known, is sired by the highly regarded Cuttabars Colonel (Imp), who’s progeny have amassed over 9000 points and 250 awards. Cuttabars Colonel, sired by NCHA Futurity winner Colonel Freckles, achieved his bronze century in cutting competition and a performance R.O.M. Colonels dam Doc Fooler (Imp), is by one of Doc Bar’s most famous sons Docs Prescription. She achieved her R.O.M at Halter, and proved herself a top producer leaving 6 standing stallions.  

 The colonel has proven himself a versatile mount during a long and varied show career. This included western riding with Wayne Judge and reining with Neville Fennel, as well as trail, hack and hunter under saddle to earn his R.O.M as a performance horse. Couple this with his bronze century for halter competition, (which included a win for Scott Meyers in the NPHA for champion stallion as a 10 year old!) and his versatility and durability are clearly seen.

 

The colonel has many progeny on the ground all around the country. It has been a pleasure over the last few years to hear from owners who are full of praise and genuine affection for their colonel sired horses. His ability to pass down his athleticism, gentle disposition, trainable mind, and willingness to be involved in whatever is happening has left a lasting impression. His many get can be found in a variety of disciplines achieving at the top level, with his mares keenly sought by breeders for their consistency of type and athletic build. Demonstrating colonels growing status as a powerful sire are “Foolin on Deck” a silver century barrel racer, “Only Kidding Sam” a blue ribbon camp drafter, “We re Not Foolin” a champion reiner, “Colonels Vapour Jet” R.O.M. in hunt seat, and “Colonels Little Fooler” a superior halter horse.
