Overview

Finding the ‘good ones’ early is often a driving passion for anyone hoping to launch a future star. Ingo Pape and Scott Hassler discovered Fiorano when he was only one week old while on a tour evaluating Rousseau’s first foal crop in Germany. Harmony Sporthorses quickly agreed to buy the colt and the plan was set to raise this promising youngster in Hemmoor under the care of the highly capable team at Hengststation Pape. At the 2007 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing, Fiorano quickly became a crowd favorite with his very active hindleg and overwhelming presence. He was named to the “premium ring” which was particularly impressive given his sire was a non-Hanoverian. His outstanding gaits and rideability allowed him to readily claim the title Champion at his 70-day-test in Muenster-Handorf where he won with an impressive overall score of 136.12 points and a dressage index of 141.7 points. He was awarded seven scores of ‘9’ or higher in his results in addition to a 9.5 from the test rider.

Fiorano is a very compact stallion with harmonious conformation and an extremely refined head. He is a powerful, buoyant mover with a very active, carrying hind leg –nearly the perfect formula for success in today’s competitive sport. Collection comes very naturally for Fiorano who has excelled quickly in his training. He was winning 3rd level classes early on in 2011 and readily schooling all the Grand Prix movements by the end of 2012. In 2013, his competitions will gear towards the German National Prix St. George 7-9 year-old Championships, the “Nuernberger Burg-Pokal,” We eagerly anticipate his success though look forward to his debut in the Grand Prix arena where he can shine through his spectacular natural highlights of the piaffe and passage.

Fiorano has already demonstrated his ability to produce athletic, rideable horses. His first son was licensed and approved in Hanover in 2011. Fascino (Fiorano – Ehrentanz – Florestan I) performed with convincing talent at his 30-day-test in Moritzburg, earning an overall index of 130 points, with 8.5 in dressage and 7.63 in jumping.
