Overview

NEW for 2023! Iceman de Muze offers North American breeders cooled semen access to a stallion with an excellent performance record, proven pedigree for sport, and an exceptional production record. Iceman’s talent is rooted in a proven pedigree for the Grand Prix. His sire Erco van’t Roosakker is an accomplished Grand Prix competitor in his own right, with top finishes at the CSI5* level, Nations Cup Teams, European Championships, and World Cup qualifiers. Erco van’t Roosakker combines the proven jumping blood of Darco and Kannan, both which appear on the 2022 WBFSH Jumping Sire Rankings. Iceman’s dam has an extensive competition record through the 1.45m jumpers, has produced three licensed stallions, and has multiple competition horses to her credit including Grand Prix jumpers including Go Easy De Muze and Hocus Pocus De Muze. Damsire For Pleasure was a medalist at the European Championships, World Cup Finals, and Olympics.

Performance

Iceman has a well decorated FEI performance record under multiple riders through 1.60m.  As a 6-Year Old Iceman de Muze represented the Netherlands at the World Breeding Championships in Lanaken, qualifying for the 6-Year Old Final. Iceman continued to convincingly move up the levels in the coming seasons advancing to the CSI2* and CSI3* levels with top placings at premier shows all across Europe. In 2018, Iceman returned to Lanaken for the FEI Zangersheide Sires of the World competition where he finished 8th. Imported to the United States in 2019, Iceman and Schuyler Riley took top placings at WEF, Devon, New York, Tryon, and Lexington. In 2021, Iceman was paired with young rider Ellie Yeager with great success at Grand Prix and U25 Grand Prix, including a 2nd place Team Finish at the North American Youth Rider Jumping Championships.

Offspring

With Iceman’s sports career being the primary focus, he’s had a limited number of offspring to date but they’re making their mark in the jumper ring. To date, Iceman has 13 FEI competitors to his record, Icen and HHS Ice Flo both competed at the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses as 5-year olds, and Isla de Muze is competing at 1.60m. In the US, his offspring are proving successful in both the hunter and jumper rings with top ribbons at WEF, Tryon, and HITS.
