Overview

Baroncelli was a shining star from the very beginning! He was the winner of Hengststation Pape's annual foal show in 1998. He was named Champion of his 2000 Hanoverian licensing and soon after his 2001 Stallion Performance Test in Munster-Handorf. He scored very impressive dressage index of 135.9 and well above average scores in jumping.  In 2002, Baroncelli was awarded “Best Stallion of the Year” by the Hanoverian Verband.  At the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf, Baroncelli won the first qualification with a score of 9.1 and developed into the public darling.  In the finale, barely beaten, he became Reserve Champion.  Participating at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in 2003 and 2004, Baroncelli won the first qualification and placed 4th overall as a 5- and 6-year old.  Hengststation Pape and Harmony Sporthorses partnered on Baroncelli in 2004. Harmony’s Baroncelli continued to have success as he developed in sport under Susan Pape. He participated in the Nuernburger Berg Pokal (equivalent to our Developing Horse Championships) as an 8-year old, winning his qualification in Verden and placing 4th in the finals in Frankfurt. He made his Grand Prix debut under Susan Pape in 2008 at age 10, and had several placings in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special over the next years. Harmony's Baroncelli was imported to the US in late 2010 and is an impressive addition to the line-up of stallions at Hassler Dressage. He continues his Grand Prix career under Susanne Hassler.
