She later moved into the hunter/jumper discipline, and is now an active competitor in show jumping on the A-circuit.

Dr. Tracy Plough, DVM, DACT

Dr. Tracy PloughDr. Tracy Plough was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. She has always had a passion for horses as well as science. Therefor it was just natural, for her, to combine these two passions into veterinary medicine. She is a 2007 graduate of the University of Guelph, Ontario Veterinary College. Following graduation Dr. Plough returned to BC where she worked as an associate and completed an internship in equine reproduction. In 2008 Dr. Plough traveled to Austria and worked as a resident at the University of Vienna with a focus on equine reproduction. Tracy later returned home to private practice, where she worked as an associate veterinarian and continued her advanced reproductive training. She took an opportunity and traveled to Australia in 2013 where she worked with several large TB breeding operations as well as a large volume embryo transfer facility.

Dr. Plough qualified and became board a certified specialist in equine reproduction and a Diplomate of The American College of Theriogenologists in 2014. She went on to establish her own practice, Plough Equine Veterinary Services in the greater Vancouver area of British Columbia Canada, which she owned and operated, until joining the Team at Pioneer Equine hospital in Oakdale CA in 2017. During her time in California Dr. Plough ran the daily operations of the stallion center as well as managed the ART mare programs for that hospital.

In 2019 Tracy returned home to BC and joined the team at Meadow Lane Equine Clinic, brining with her, the opportunity to expand the current breeding services and offer advanced reproductive technologies.

Outside of work you will find Tracy hanging out with her husband Kevin and their dog Penny or enjoying time with her horses.

This experience inspired her passion for equine veterinary medicine and devotion to the horsemen and women of the Fraser Valley. Dr. Aspé is experienced in all aspects of general equine practice, but is especially keen to advance her skills in sports medicine under the tutelage of Dr. Kopala.

She studied at Olds College in Alberta and graduated in 2007 with honours in Diplomas in Equine Science Business Management as well as Equine Production and Breeding Management. Following graduation Lauren was invited to apply for a position and was subsequently hired as an instructional assistant in the Equine Science program at Olds College. When she wasn’t loping thoroughbreds at the Okanagan Polo Club, Hanna was at the veterinary clinic helping out, or hiking local trails with her dog. The Douglas College Veterinary Technology program brought Hanna back to the Lower Mainland, which enabled her to ride her own horses while attending school. Now that she has graduated veterinary technician college Hanna has joined the team at Meadow Lane Equine.
