Overview

Tatendrang is a modern stallion who scored a "60" at his stallion approvals with the American Trakehner Association on October 3, 2008. He scored all 8's for his walk, trot, canter, jumping, and general impression - all as a 2  year old. The inspectors commented on his bold uphill movement , his good form over fences, modern Trakehner type, elegance, excellent saddle position, nice neck set, as well as his nice temperament. During the presentation, Sam Eidt, DVM (head inspector) stated, "This athleticism is what we should be breeding for in the Trakehner breed." "Tate's" foals are eligible for registration with the American Trakehner Association.

"Tate" was fully approved with the ATA when he completed his Novice Event at Rocking Horse HT on Nov 5 - 8, 2010 after only having been started under saddle 8 months prior. He will continue in training with Andrew Palmer in eventing and dressage at this time.

Stud fee is $1250 for fresh cooled with a LFG.  Special arrangements for frozen is available with or without a LFG, and can be per dose.

Pedigree

Performance

Tatendrang is currently competing in both Dressage and Eventing with Andrew Palmer of Royal Palm Farms in AL.  He has been successful at Training in Eventing and is expected to compete at Preliem in 2012.  He has also competed lightly in Dressage at First Level with great success.  He consistently gets 8's on his gaits at both Dressage shows and during dressage in Eventing.  He was 3rd in the nation for USDF as a 5 year old in Materialle with a median score of 79.2%.  He is expected to compete at First and Second Level in 2012.

Offspring

There are 2 foal crops on the ground and the 3rd is expected in 2012.  The mare owners are primarily breeding for upper level prospects in either dressage or eventing.  The foals are consistently to Tate's type and he has improved movement on all of the mares covered - giving the foals an uphill way of going and good suspension/impulsion. He passes on his excellent top line and up hill build with all of the foals having a good shoulder and hip angle. He has lightened the mares that he has covered to date and improved temperaments on difficult mares.  Tate is homozygous (tested) for bay and will not throw a chestnut.

There are photos of his foals on both his Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Tatendrang) and on our website (www.emeraldacrestk.com
