The Lord Leatherdale-Negro combination that we see in Everdale has proven to be an excellent combination. Lord Leatherdale is a winning FEI stallion whose offspring have competed at the PAVO Cup Finals and World Championships for Young Horses. Everdale’s damline is particularly strong and the mares have been highly decorated, including his great-granddam who is a full sister to the approved stallion Havidoff. Grandsire Negro had a very successful FEI career and has numerous offspring competing at Grand Prix, including of course the Olympic & World Champion Valegro.
Everdale is a well-developed stallion with gaits that are scopey and powerful with abundant elasticity. He is honest and diligent in his work and gives his rider a very positive feeling. These traits contributed to Everdale being named Champion of his Stallion Performance Test in 2012 with a total of 87 points. All his scores were 8 or higher, and he received scores of 9 for the walk, canter, rideability, and attitude. In 2013 Everdale won the PAVO Cup Finals for 4-Year Olds and earned a perfect 10 from the Guest Rider. In 2017, Everdale debuted at FEI Prix St. George with great success, earning scores as high as 72%.
Everdale has proven very popular with European and US breeders. He stamps his neck, uphill balance, powerful gaits, and an excellent canter on his offspring. The oldest Everdale offspring turned 3 years old in 2016 and he already has several approved sons to his record. His early US foal crops have also been well received at inspections with numerous foals earning First Premium status with the KWPN-NA and Elsa (ds. Bugatti) named Top Filly of her ISR/Oldenburg inspection with an overall score of 8.3.
